Thrive Lacrosse Sticks in Schools Program has expanded its reach in the last 2 years into 30 schools across North America! We pride ourselves on teaching the basic fundamentals of lacrosse skills while teaching life lessons along the way. Professional lacrosse players and coaches teach our program with physical literacy terminology that is age level appropriate and suitable for beginner, immediate and advanced lacrosse players. Our three goals for everyone classroom are:

Our highlights include discussions about the history of the game, Native American culture, the different types of lacrosse played in Canada and around the world. A full day will include 6 individual classes, and the typical schedule is as follows below:

9:00 – 9:50 – Class 1

9:50 – 10:40 – Class 2

10:40 – 11:20 – Break

11:20 – 12:10 – Class 3

12:10 – 1:00 – Class 4

1:00 – 1:40 – Break

1:40 – 2:30 – Class 5

2:30 – 3:20 – Class 6

With purchase of Sticks in Schools Program day event includes, a PDF and physical copy of a week long curriculum, discussion topics, drills, games, important lacrosse related links and MOST IMPORTANTLY grading rubric! The outside of the skill stick terminology, we also teach the (6) important lacrosse skills along with proper hand and body positioning: Scooping, Trapping, Cradling, Catching, Passing & Shooting. What we bring to the SCHOOL includes a classroom set of authentic lacrosse sticks, soft lacrosse balls, tennis balls, cones and a lacrosse net. We also bring authentic lacrosse balls, women’s version lacrosse stick, traditional lacrosse sticks for viewing purposes.
